Using specially configured Iwapi smart devices, real-time AWOS weather information from mountain passes and airports across the state of Colorado will soon be collected and transmitted, on an automated basis, to the Colorado Division of Aeronautics, as well as Federal aviation and weather  authorities.  The project involves a number of innovative practices and is first in the real-time collection of this type of information for aeronautics and weather services.
